Law new is an article that provides information about laws and rules (also known as legislation) that DCWP enforces. These laws and rules come from City agencies, the legislature, and the courts. They are published in the online Laws of New York and codified by NYC Rules.
This bill would require third-party food delivery services to be licensed to operate in the City. It also repeals the subchapter in the Administrative Code that contains existing laws regulating third-party food delivery services, and incorporates the requirements into this new licensing scheme.

This bill amends the requirements under which City agencies must disclose security breaches involving private identifying information to affected individuals. It aligns the City’s data breach notification laws with requirements under the State SHIELD Act and expands the types of private identifying information that must be disclosed. The bill also makes changes to the definition of “security breach” in order to bring it into more alignment with other privacy-related laws in New York City and the federal government.
